Hi. My name is Adam.

Winds of change.

“At current oil prices, we will send $700 billion dollars out of the country this year alone — that’s four times the annual cost of the Iraq war.”

“The Pickens Plan” is an alternative energy proposal crafted by T. Boone Pickens, an American business man. The “Plan” includes utilizing the American heartland for wind power in hopes of lowering U.S. dependence on foreign energy.

According to Pickens, his proposal will protect both the economy and the environment.

To be honest, I don’t know enough about this plan or other environmental measures to tell you how much sense it makes. But one thing leads me to believe that it can work more effectively than other environmental protection campaigns: Pickens is a business man.

His interest in wind power stems first from greed. He sees the potential to make money from wind power. Perhaps unfortunate, but definitely true, the incentive of money far outweighs the incentive of a healthy environment.

Think about it.
